I think this is the largest package I've ever shipped... With a total length of 66.25 inches, and a handle of 42.25 inches, this net was a challenge to make. For comparison, one of the pictures below shows this large net next to my smallest net. Big difference in size! The problem with a handle this long is flex. To minimize this, I inserted a bar of aluminum in the core of the handle oriented to reduce bending. Works well, and you can't even tell! Commissioned by Scott Cranney, owner and guide of Backcountry Guiding and Outfitters, LLC near Salt Lake City, Utah for some serious trout action.
This net is my Large size, with the HFM hoop shape. Handle is made of figured Walnut, and has the initials inlaid in brass.
