This custom landing net was ordered as a gift from a wife to her husband as a surprise birthday gift.  She ended up telling her husband about the net beforehand to make sure he got exactly what he wanted, and boy, I really hope this did it!  He chose a longer 18 inch handle made from some highly figured Oregon black walnut I had, and gave me the freedom to come up with a hoop design as far as wood went.  There's something I really like about the dark colors of this net, the Wenge on the outside of the hoop, with the dark black walnut handle - it looks outstanding.  The depth of figure in the handle is deep, especially when viewed in the sunlight!  Brandon, I hope you have many, many years of enjoyment using this net!  Happy birthday!
